Yes, but this does not offer a counter to my original thought, and perhaps there is simply a misunderstanding which has pervaded. I was responding to the person who seemed to be going out of their way in order to intertwine the concepts of "Om" and "Ah" with all major religions; which as I pointed out, I personally have doubts in regards to.

OM is the sound that was heard during the big-bang creation of the universe. It is also called Naad-Brahma. This is the way it is understood in Hinduism.
Many prayers in both Hinduism and Buddhism start with Om. As a breathing exercise the pronunciation of Om is STRETCHED upto the length of the breath which sounds as: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

traduccion: el mantra mas importante es el Om se dice que el contiene el conocimiento de la vida y es considerado el cuerpo sonoro de lo apsoluto, el OM es el sonido de lo infinito y es el que fecundo a los otros mantras esta formado por las vocales a y u y la letra m estas 3 letras corresponden a los 3 estados de conciencia vigilia sueño y despierto. bueno hice lo mejor que pude ;)
