I think metal is even more fragile than that material. I'm sure you can't scratch that car just with your keys or brushing it against some other car or a wall...

about the cars safety,
i believe it uses an internal protective chassis, like most cars actually.
When did you last see a high speed car accident where the outer metal had protected the car? it's usually down to a series of protective internal bars and crumple zones which protect you from a car accident rather than the outer shell
however i think that the issue of bumps and scrapes from keys etc would be a problem unless BMW are able to replace damaged sections of the cars material

A revolution is taking place in the material engineering world. Depending on what the material is, it is probably more resistant than metal in all situations. I mean scientists have been able to create a material that is invisible to red, blue, and infrared light. Scratch resistant fabric should be easy!

I dont like this car it has an inovation of its own but. hwo would seriously drive a car made of diving suits (i know its a concept)? i like bmw but i dont like this car, i think this car can really be something good if you make it more serious it has a cool design but skip the swimsuits make it of metal or carbon fiber

but what happens if you are about cutting on an usual car?
it'll get deep scratches even the same expensive to replace as the skin of this car.
