The site uses a points system where you complete surveys to get points which you then redeem for the prize of your choice.
There are four types of surveys: 100% free, purchase required, cell phone required and credit card required. Free surveys have the lowest payout and purchase required usually have the highest payout. Gaming lagoon is only given money from its sponsors if you get credit for the offer.
The shipping and handling for prizes is free. Prizes that are codes (wii points, nexon, MS points, etc.) are either mailed or e-mailed to you, depending on the luck of the draw.
The prizes that are offered span all consoles, PC, Mac and non-video games (cards, board games, ect). The site also offers a custom order option where you can order prizes from other sites (such as Amazon), provided that you have a link to the site and you have enough points to cover the site's shipping and handling.
