Script by L.Los, directed by R.Zelma, music by prominent Russian composer Edward Artemyev.

Интересно, что в детстве я ненавидел этот мульт. :) Он, конечно, рассчитан не на каждый детский возраст и не на каждый детский темперамент. Сейчас я понимаю, что по сочетанию глубины и простоты это выдающийся образец анимационного жанра.

I am assured, that music in film plays even more a greater role, than a picture. Not everywhere, but in some places. And a song in the end of film! In the childhood, I have remembered this song, not everything, only the beginning. For ever, all its intonations. " Speak, dolphins speak... " It is bad translation. I hope, somebody will translate this song so that you have heard it as though in Russian.

В детстве у я этого мультика всегда ревела в три ручья. Да и сейчас слезы текут от прекрасной музыки Эдуарда Артемьева. Вот уж действительно талантливый деятель искусства! Сегодняшние композиторы по сравнению с ним просто дилетанты.

Except without Freedom, Love only exists as a convenience and not a choice. That said, I don't think this film is about freedom...it is an ambiance piece about how the dolphin teaching a girl to swim and caring for each other led to there mutual Liberation...both of them allowed themselves to swim freely in the ocean. Then again you can say she learned from nature...and not the state.
