Norman Finkelstein is quite right about Japan. Japanese tend to be quiet about the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But it could be said also that Japanese do not have do deal with all kinds of racist hate groups claiming that it did not happen.

American and jewish mental warfare artists had caused so much psychological damage to german citizens that they were forced in the 1950s to admit there never were any gas chamber deaths on german soil which proved the military films about gassings at Dachau were blatant lies, and reduced the claim from 22 "gas chamber" camps down to 6. US and jews insisted though they would continue with the lies about 6 inspection-barred camps in Poland due to the political needs in the middle east

i agree with MustacheVerra..but then again you just can't forget about something so serious like that..the Holocust is something that people are gonna talk about for ever. and it should be discussed forever..

LOL that's true. You don't see many American interviewers (or even Canadian) interviewers who are familiar with so many historical texts and contemporary literature. I'll give Coren credit for that. He I think overly abused the "language" thing. It was a good point, but I thought too much focus was being put on that and it became repetitive.

I've lived in Japan for almost 20 years. I meet Japanese people from various walks of life everyday and have never, even once, heard someone joke about Hiroshima or Nagasaki, as the interviewer said they do. When Prof. Finkelstein talks about the release of the lanterns and says it reveals sensitivity, I would agree with him (it is related to guiding the spirits of the deceased back to their world, especially during the religious holiday, Obon.)
