Following the success of Dune II, this was the first real-time strategy game of the Command & Conquer series, developed by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive in 1995. In the Tiberian series, the story was about a war between two factions: the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod.

i liked this game a lot but they should make an adon witch gives you skirmish and a map editor would be great also the screen should be zoomed ferther out i found it hard so close in.

I'm afraid the graphics were based on the hardware at the time. You could not zoom out any further. Some machines even struggled to cope with the resolution.

I remember buying this with a fiver I found in a car park, a few hours later I was tearing through the GDI campaign..... And got stuck.
Like Doom was a revolution for FPS, this was a revolution for RTS(well maybe Dune 2 was, I dunno), and I still love them dearly.
